Comments have been disabled for many of the pages on the website now. Having everything commentable was creating was presenting way too many distractors to a single page. Included in this change was the removal of the ratings for most content since most people don't use it, and the few who do almost always instantly vote their page to 5 stars.
Committers and book writers, you should still be able to make comments on any page, just use it liberally, and if you are using them to track errors, once the error is fixed, delete the comment (I've been doing this lately in an attempt to clean up pages with huge lists of comments that are fixed problems, or unrelated to the original page.
Everyone,
If you have posted a support question via a comment and you can no longer find it. It was probably posted somewhere other than the forums, unrelated to the page you posted it on, and therefor deleted. Unfortunately with comments, there is no mechanism for moving them. This is why we encourage everyone to create a forum topic for their problems and encourage them not to piggy back on other peoples forum topics. The cleaner and more on topic a posting is kept, the easier it is for everyone to find what they are searching for.
As always, feel free to comment here.
